As part of the team behind Metservice, New Zealand's most popular weather app, I played a key role in designing a personalized and easily digestible weather experience for Kiwis. To support our vision for a stackable app, I developed a design-to-delivery method that involved delivering components to Development and Test instead of just screens.
In 2017, this approach was a big experiment, but the end result was a highly customizable weather app that allowed users to add the most important data points to their homepage. The success of this project demonstrated the importance of flexible design systems and user-centered design in creating effective digital products.
